A Civil Strategies Methodology

What institutions choose to do, and how they choose to do it, is not a management question. It is a design question.
The CIVIL Framework™ is a methodology for institutional design, built for nonprofits and philanthropic organizations that exist to produce lasting change. It addresses what conventional organizational consulting does not: the structural decisions that determine whether an institution can sustain its mission, align its leadership, and hold its integrity across time, transition, and pressure.
The methodology covers five directional disciplines and eight institutional functions. Together, they offer a principled foundation for how institutions are built, governed, and led.
